Archbishop Greg Kerr-Wilson along with the Diocesan Council announces that the 78th Convention of Synod has been postponed until a later date.

This decision was necessary given the unpredictable outcomes of day-to-day events arising during this CoVid-19 Pandemic, and the amount of preparation that has been hampered by these events.

Synod was planned to happen on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from June 5 to 7, 2020.  It has been tentatively re-scheduled for Friday, October 23 and Saturday, October 24 (returning to the two-day schedule).  Should unforeseen circumstances arise, we may need to postpone again.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

We do not have a complete list of all the Elected Lay Delegates to Synod at this time.  We ask Clergy or Parish staff to ensure that Elected Lay Delegates are informed.

Any questions or concerns can be forwarded to Mrs. Kim Getty, Registrar of the Diocese (registrar@calgary.anglican.ca) or The Rev. Bob Mummery (calgarylr@gmail.com).

Thank you.
