A Prayer for the Diocesan Synod
Almighty and everliving God, source of all wisdom and understanding, be present with those who take counsel at our Diocesan Synod this weekend, for the renewal and mission of your Church. Teach us in all things to seek first your honour and glory. Guide us to perceive what is right, and grant us both the courage to pursue it and the grace to accomplish it; through Jesus Christ our Lord. BAS, Occasional Prayers, page 676 |

Job Posting - Children's Ministry LeaderSt. Andrew, Calgary St. Andrew Anglican Church in northwest Calgary is looking for Sunday School and Youth teachers, starting in September or October, 2026. Our Sunday School is growing! St. Andrew's parish is seeking a Sunday School teacher to design and implement a curriculum based on each Sunday's readings from the Revised Common Lectionary. Currently, we have about 17 students, ages 5 to 16. Time commitment would be about two hours preparation time and 45 minutes teaching during the 10:30 am service each Sunday. Sound Biblical knowledge, a passion for developing disciples and teaching experience would be an asset. We pray that, God willing, this will eventually become a youth leadership position in our parish. For more information, please contact Rev. John Chuol, at (403) 284-5349 or (403) 690-1527. |

We will spend time hearing updates from The Mustard Seed, learning about the impact being made through partnerships with local churches, and exploring ways we can continue serving our neighbours experiencing poverty and homelessness. Most importantly, we hope this will be a relaxed and meaningful time to strengthen relationships, share stories, and celebrate what God is doing in our city. Phishing Scams Happening...Again!
Once again, there have been several phishing attempts reported to the Diocesan Office. If you receive a request from one of our staff asking for your help, and you are suspicious, please do not respond and delete the email. Phishing emails may look extremely authentic. Here are some tips on how to protect your confidential personal information: · Do not click on links OR open attachments in emails or messages from people that you do not know. · Remember that the Archbishop or the staff would never ask you for assistance in this way. · Look out for spelling or grammatical errors. · Check the sender’s email address. Is this address the same as you would usually see from this person or organization? · Be cautious with any unexpected messages. When in doubt, delete. These emails are not harmful to your computer, just annoying. |
