St. James is seeking a full time Children's Pastor to lead and grow our ministry for children from birth through Grade 6. The Children's Pastor will provide leadership for Sunday programs, summer and Vacation Bible School programming, volunteer teams, family ministry events, special children's services, and monthly Grade 4-6 gatherings. We are looking for someone with a servant heart, strong communication and organization skills, and a passion for helping children know, love, and follow Jesus.
Children’s ministry is a vital part of life at St. James that seeks to build strong spiritual foundations for children and to strengthen relationships among families and the wider congregation as we follow Jesus together.
Interested applicants must have post-secondary education or equivalent experience; theological education is an asset. As well, applicants must have a minimum of 2-4 years of experience working with children, preferably in a church or ministry setting.
This is a full-time position offering a competitive annual salary. Evening and weekend work will be required based on parish programming and events.
