The Rev. Canon Kevin E. Martin is the retired Dean of the Cathedral Church of St. Matthew in Dallas, Texas. He is considered one of the foremost experts on congregational development. For 10 years, Kevin served as the Canon for Congregational Development for the Episcopal Diocese of Texas. He most recently served as the congregational development officer for the Episcopal Diocese of Oklahoma. Kevin has served congregations in Connecticut, Ohio, Washington State, and Texas. He has also served as the Director of two non-profit organizations; Vital Church Ministries and the Leadership Training Institute. He has served as an Episcopal Priest for nearly 40 years, served as a convention delegate, and was on the 2020 Taskforce of the Episcopal Church. Kevin has written two books, The Myth of the 200 Barrier and 5 Keys for Church Leaders. He has contributed many articles and in addition to his two books has contributed to Inner City Churches, edited by Lyle Schaller and to Reclaiming the Great Commission by Claude Payne.
