The Catechism (BCP p. 544-555) is the long-established instrument of the Church to prepare

people for baptism and confirmation. While the traditional format of the catechism is very

systematic in nature, and students study a series of questions and then memorize appropriate

answers, this “catechism” is grounded in the biblical story of salvation history. The goal is for

you to enter into the story of the scriptures and connect with God in the wondrous story of

creation and salvation and history, where God is active in the world, and where our identity is

rooted in our relationship with the Triune God as his Image Bearers. If you are preparing for

baptism, or confirmation, or if you just want to deepen your knowledge of the scriptures and

your faith, please join us this fall for the Call of the Image Bearers.
